Connie Kay (Cruse) Cowan was born on August 23, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Connie lived most of her life in Lindsay, OK and taught science at Lindsay High School for 38 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Lindsay. She attended Southern Methodist University and the University of Oklahoma. She lived in Tulsa Oklahoma for the past ten years with her husband Bill.
She went to see the Lord at 11:35 pm on January 3, 2024, after fighting Parkinsons for 24 years.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill Cowan of Tulsa. One son, Greg Cowan, daughter- in-law Anna, and granddaughter Berlyn, all of Tulsa. One Daughter, Leslie Walden, son- in-law Wayne Walden, and granddaughter Addy Walden all of Euless, Texas. Her brother J.E. Cruse Jr., daughter-in-law Cindy Cruse, nephew JE III, niece Jennifer all of Joplin Missouri and her brother Tony Cruse, nephew AJ and niece Lindsay, all of Oklahoma City; and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, JE and Lora Lee Cruse of Lindsay.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of Lindsay. Services under the direction of John W Williams of Winans Funeral Home in Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family on this website.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested a donation be made to the Parkinsons Foundation, 200 SE 1st St. Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131, in honor of Connie Cowan. We must find a cure for this dreaded disease that gradually deteriorates body and mind.
