Clarence Lee Wright

Clarence Lee Wright of Maysville was born on August 8, 1934 in Foster, Oklahoma to Pete and Lillian (Popejoy) Wright. He passed from this life on Sunday, January 10, 2021 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.

Clarence was a lifetime resident of Oklahoma, graduating from Bray High School in 1953. He married Wanda Lee Miller on January 13, 1956 in McAlester, Oklahoma and together they celebrated 64 years of marriage before her passing on September 23, 2020. They had made their home in Maysville since 1969. Clarence retired from Christian Care Center in Chickasha where he worked as the head of maintenance and housekkeeping. He had also worked for Flint Construction and Hatfield Construction and always liked to talk to people about the oilfield. Clarence enjoyed visiting with people and going to garage sales and auctions. He loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed by them.

His survivors include his sons, Jim Wright and wife Beverly of Maysville; and Jerry Wright and wife Karen of Purcell.
Daughters, Peggy James and Patsy Dobson Sedinger both of Maysville.
11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild
Brothers: Bernard Wright, James Wright, and Glen Wright.
Sister, Virginia Wright.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Wanda Wright; an infant daughter, Penny Wright; his parents, Pete and Lillian Wright, brother, Wimpford Wright; sister, Hazel Jean Woods; grandson, Jerry Don Wright; and a great grandson, Cade Owen Wright.

Masks and social distancing will be in place at the cemetery.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Maysville Cemetery with Bro. Danny Gamble and Bro. Dehart officiating.
