Cary Johnathon "C.J." Stratton

Cary Johnathon “CJ” Stratton passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City after a tragic vehicle accident. He was 32 years old. Cary was born on September 4, 1987 in Ada, Oklahoma to Thomas Cary Stratton and Kellie Dawn Davis.

Cary lived in Maysville all his life, graduating from Maysville High School in 2006. He enjoyed going to all sorts of mud and race events, spending the summers at Lake Eufaula with his family and friends. His favorite holidays were the 4th of July and Labor Day. Cary married the love of his life, Christina Lynn Wright on April 27, 2013. He and his wife welcomed their daughter , Kyndrah Lynn Stratton in 2010 and their son, Kason Charles Stratton in 2017. His children and his wife were his world. Cary would go above and beyond for his family and friends. He never met a stranger. He has been a mechanic since he was a young child and always had a tool in his hand and was ready to fix anything. His dream in life was to open his own business, so he and a life long friend, Mark Hornbuckle started “H & S Services”. We are all very proud of his dedication. He made the most of everyday and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t do.

Survivors include his wife, Christina Lynn Stratton and their children, Kyndrah Lynn Stratton and Kason Charles Stratton, all of the home in Maysville.
Parents: Cary Stratton of Maysville and Kellie Davis of Noble.
A brother, Cody Alan Stratton of Maysville.
Grandparents: Marilen and Fred Fitzgerald of Maysville; Jackie Stratton of Holly, Colorado; and Donna Stratton of Oklahoma City.
Aunt Stace Claudill of Midwest City; Aunt Christy Smith and children, Kenzie, Taylor, and Abbie of Elmore City; and Uncle Cory Don Davis and children, Jeffrey and Sara of Tecumseh.

Cary was preceded in death by his sister, Morgan LeAnn Stratton; cousin, Richard Charles Don Davis; and great grandparents, Jack and Shirley Stratton.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Friday, November 15, 2019 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
