Carolyn Sue Williamson

Carolyn Sue Williamson of Norman was born on April 5, 1946 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Elbert Robinson Whitis and Beulah Modean (Bolding) Whitis. She passed from this life on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Norman, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years.

Carolyn grew up in Maysville, graduating from Maysville High School in 1964 and attending Central State College in Edmond for two years. She married Earl Williamson and to this union was born a son, Calvin Ray. Carolyn worked as a proofreader in the banking business, accounting for Purcell Municipal Hospital and Moore Hospital, and became an expert dealer of fine glassware and antiques in Tennessee and Arkansas. She came from a family of believers and enjoyed singing with them in central Oklahoma through the Assembly of God Churches. She loved going on cruises. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Her survivors include her loving companion, Challice Harsson of Clopton, Tennessee.
Sisters, Pat Jones and David Lee of Norman, Oklahoma; and Dorris Long and husband Willie of Norman.
Brother, Donald Whitis of Oklahoma City and wife, Lillie Whitis of Norman.
Grandchildren: Ashley Creed and husband Tyler, and great grandchildren, Weston and Wyatt Creed.
And many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Beulah Whitis; son, Calvin Ray Williamson; father of Calvin, Earl Williamson; and sisters, Juanita Bennett and Wanda Bennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 6, 2018 at the Noble Assembly of God Church,100 West Post Oak Road, Noble, OK with John R. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Noble under the direction of John R. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
