Billy Marion Jacks of Maysville, formerly of Elmore City was born on February 22, 1938 in Elmore City to Willie and Alma (Drennan) Jacks and passed from this life on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in his home near Maysville at the age of 84 years.
Bill lived in the Elmore City area all of his life before moving to Maysville in 2018. He married Karen Crouch on June 7, 1960 and to this union two girls were born, Penny and Debra. They were married for 53 years before her passing in 2013. Bill worked in the Oklahoma oilfields for many years while he was employed with Shebester Bechtel, Inc. and was the General Manager for them when he retired after 55 years. Bill was a loving and kind person who cared deeply for his family and spending time with them. He loved Corvettes especially the ones he owned. During the 70's he enjoyed spending time running race horses. On October 25, 2018, Bill married Vickie McCurtain in Gainesville and they made their home together north of Maysville and were able to share a life together for almost 4 years. Bill enjoyed visiting with people and playing cards and dominoes. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie Jacks of the home.
Daughters: Penny Nelson and husband, Chuck of Elmore City and Debra Johnson and husband Larry of Elmore City.
Grandchildren: Jennifer and Travis Reimer and Jonathan Reimer of Blanchard, Rachael and Joshua Nelson of Elmore City, Holly and Ryan Johnson of Elmore City.
Vickie’s family: Tamara and Andrew Gross of Los Angeles, California and children, Jett and Dashielle of Los Angeles, California; Shawn and Susan Green of Maysville and children, Colton Green and Carly Green of Paoli, Samantha and Joshua Green; Shane and Dee Green of Maysville and children, Cheyenne and Johnathan Dawley of Virginia, Carsen Green of Stillwater and Ty Green of Maysville.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Alma Jacks; and wife, Karen Jacks.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 23, 2022 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Brent Higgins officiating. Burial will be in the Elmore City Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
