Billy Darrell Ward

Billy Darrell Ward of Paoli was born on December 19, 1968 in McKinney, Texas to William and Ruby Faye (Henderson) Ward and passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at his home at the age of 54 years.

Darrell grew up in Paoli, where he graduated from Paoli High School in 1987.  He worked as an operator at the Oneok Gas Plant in Maysville for many years.  He loved his family and liked to cook and grill for them.  Darrell was just a country guy who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was in the process of building his own house.  He was a workaholic who had also build other people’s homes for them.  He enjoyed cutting up and kidding around with everyone.  Darrell was a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.    

His survivors include his daughter, Billi Ward and wife Summer Ward of Ada; grandchildren, Killian Darrell Ward and Bellamy David Ward.  Step-son, Bobby Lee Snow and wife Shelli of Elmore City; brother, Roger Self of Oklahoma City.
His ex-wife, Benita Ward of Ada.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruby Ward; brother, Wayne Ward; and step-daughter, Rachel Snow.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK with arrangements under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.  Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
