Barry Glen McLain of Maysville, formerly of Foster was born on February 12, 1959 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Norma Sue (Brenam) McLain and fathered by Richard McLain. He passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023 near Elmore City, Oklahoma at the age of 64 years.
Barry was a longtime self-employed rancher and a Master fence builder who resided in Foster before moving to Maysville in 2018. He was a proud veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He loved his family and was very proud of his children. Barry enjoyed fishing and collecting arrowheads. He cared for his animals and growing a garden. He enjoyed tinkering with things and selling them at flea markets. Barry loved life and was a believer in Christ and reading his Bible everyday. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons: Glen McLain and Paul of Dickson, Tennessee; Wesley McLain and Rdona of Newscastle; Richard McLain of Choctaw; James McLain of Maysville; and Nathan McLain of Maysville; a daughter, Tanya Curtin and Brian of Summerville, South Carolina; brother, Scotty McLain of Foster; and a sister, Tracy McLain of South Carolina.
Grandchildren, Sean and Julia Curtin, and one on the way, Little McLain; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 25, 2023 in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma with Troy Taylor officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, Oklahoma. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
