Barbara Gail Hanes of Moore was born on July 20, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Walter Harmon, Jr. and Dorothy (Fletcher) Harmon and she passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Moore, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years.Barbara lived in the Oklahoma City area all of her life, graduating from Crooked Oak High School in 1969. She married John Hanes on June 22, 1994 and together they worked as team truck drivers for Freymiller Trucking Company and C. R. England Trucking Company and she also worked as a travel agent. Barbara had also worked as a cosmetologist earlier in her life and really enjoyed getting her nails done. When her children were growing up, Barbara was an amazing cook and was very active in the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTSA, coaching softball, and going to her children’s athletic events. Family was extremely important to her and she loved having them all together. Her grandchildren were the most important and she always loved hearing about their day. Every holiday she decorated and went all out to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. She was a very sensitive person who cared about everyone’s feelings and made friends everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her mother, Dorothy Harmon of Oklahoma City.A daughter, Jamie Gilbert and husband Chris of Moore.Sons: Mark White and wife Abi of Moore and Steven White and wife Alisa of Moore. Grandchildren: Sara Gilbert, Colbie Gilbert, Macy Motah, Mia Motah, Cole White, Spencer Gilbert, Katelyn White, and Brooklyn White.Sister, Diana Sander and husband Robert of Prague.Brothers: James Harmon and wife Linda of Foster and Vernon Harmon of Oklahoma City.Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Walter Harmon, Jr.; and husband John Hanes. Memorial services be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Lynlee Mae Chapel, 507 East Main St., Moore, OK. Flowers and plants should be delivered to the John Ireland Funeral Home, 120 S.
