Barbara June Adams

Barbara June Adams of Lindsay was born on July 23, 1942 in Array, New Mexico to Jack and Emma (Goldston) Burton. She passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Oklahoma City at the age of 79 years.

June grew up in Marlow and graduated from Bray High School and also cosmetology school. She married George Isam Adams on February 25, 1962 in Durant, Oklahoma. They made their home in Bakersfield, California before moving to Lindsay in 1976. She worked as a hair stylist, secretary for her husband’s business, and as a cook at the Lindsay Municipal Hospital. June loved her family and the time they spent together. She enjoyed country/western dancing, singing, cooking, working in her yard, and riding around Lindsay with her friends.
She was a Christian and a member of the Banner Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons: Loyd Adams and his wife Sabrina and Ben Adams and his wife Pam all of Lindsay.
Sister, Helen Burton of Oklahoma City.
Brothers: Bill Burton and wife Gail of Bray; Jim Burton and wife Paulette of Marlow; and Tom Burton of Abbeville, Louisiana.
Granddaughter, Lee Ann Adams of Lindsay.
Step-grandson, Brandon Reynolds and wife Megan of Clarksville, Arkansas.

June was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Emma Burton; and husband, George Isam Adams.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Erin Springs Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Yates and Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
