Aubrey D. Wood

March 1, 1938 — December 1, 2020

Aubrey D. Wood passed away December 1st, 2020 surrounded by his loving wife Sondra of 60 years and three children Paige, Tom, and James and preceded by his son Philip. He was born in 1938 and spent most of his early years growing up in Maysville, Oklahoma. A graduate from The University of Oklahoma in Chemical and Nuclear Engineering, he had a varied career of 30 years with IBM and other ventures that followed. He was a great father, husband, brother, son, and friend to many. He was patriotic and a community servant.

More importantly, he dedicated his life to serving his Lord Jesus Christ and helped to spread the good news wherever he lived. His deep faith and dedication led him to serve as an elder in 3 church families. He created a program for the study of Ethics which was translated into many languages and is still used worldwide. A Photographer, Poet, Traveler, and Scholar. He taught Bible class, preached or lead singing when needed at church. He lived a full and meaningful life and all his family mourns his passing but celebrates that he has finished his race and is now with the Lord.

He is survived by his sister Genive, brother Roger, grandchildren Harrison, Pearce, Nicholas, Christopher, Rachel, Tasha, Rebecca, Sydney and Cameron and great grandchildren Olivia, Valentino, Elizabeth Jane, Genevie Paige, Joachin, and Tate. He will be missed greatly but remains in our hearts and on our minds.
