Altes Otis Jack of Maysville was born on June 6, 1932 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Ernest and Oda (Monroe) Jack. He passed from this life on Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Purcell at the age of 86 years.
Altes has been a resident of Maysville since 1958, when he moved here from Atoka. He married Lois Marcella Allen on May 24, 1952 in Durant. He loved his family and enjoyed having them around him. Altes enjoyed playing dominoes and at one time he played in many domino tournaments. He was an avid junk collector and a Ford man who always loved making a deal. He enjoyed sightseeing, going to garage sales, collecting knives and trading them whenever he could. Altes was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Maysville.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lois of the home.
A brother, Clarence Jack and wife Laverne of Atoka.
And numerous nieces and nephews.
Altes is preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Oda Jack; brothers, Alfred and Melvin Jack; and sisters, Mary Ella Hurt, Lucille Hines, Gertrude Buttes, Saphrona Welch, Helen Hunt, and Esther “Cookie” Vestle.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 - 7 pm, Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Bro. Bo Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to www.winansfuneralhome.com
