Vester Lee Little

Vester Lee Little of Lindsay was born on October 30, 1929 in Ada, Oklahoma to Elbert Lee Little and Beulah Gertie (Sutton) Little. He passed from this life on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Lindsay at the age of 88 years.Vester graduated from Pauls Valley High School in 1948. He worked hard to pay his way through college where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Oklahoma University. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Vester married Linda Lee Livingston and they were married for 47 years before she passed away. He really enjoyed his work in retail and as a CPA in the Lindsay community and often stated, “He never worked a day in his life”. Vester was a very independent professional man who was involved in community activities and was generous to his family and others. He enjoyed playing golf and was an avid sports fan, especially his alum, Oklahoma University. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.Survivors include his son, Terry Little and wife VonDale of Lindsay.A daughter, Lisa Bewley of Oklahoma City.Grandchildren, Lacee (Little) Hogg and husband David of Manhattan, Kansas and Sean Patrick Eckart of Oklahoma City. Great grandchildren, Malachi and Anna Hogg of Manhattan, Kansas.Vester was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Beulah Little; his wife, Linda Little; a daughter, Jacqueline (Little) Simms; and a brother, Paul Little.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, Lindsay, OK with Rev. Jacki Banks officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
