Janice Carol Richards

Janice Carol Richards of Lindsay was born on December 3, 1962 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Donald Wayne Tannehill and Lovie (Manuel) Tannehill. She passed from this life on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Lindsay, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years. Janice attended school in Chickasha and she married the love of her life, Tye Richards on August 3, 1978 in Gainesville, Texas. They moved to Lindsay in 1981 where Janice worked as a waitress at the Ranch House for years. She enjoyed people and the relationships she had developed with them after years of waitressing. She loved God and her family and enjoyed cooking for people and seeing them enjoy her cooking. Janice loved her dogs, hummingbirds, flowers, gardens, fishing, being outdoors, and was a huge Elvis fan. She attended the Church of God in Erin Springs and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Survivors include her husband, Tye of the home. Father, Donald Tannehill and wife Erna Mae of Lindsay. Mother, Lovie Tannehill of Ninnekah. Sons: Nic Richards and wife Roni of Lindsay and Dustin Richards of Carl Junction, Missouri. A daughter, Dallas Scavezze and husband Cory of Carl Junction, Missouri. Brother, Joey Tannehill of Chickasha. Sisters: Donna Sue Tannehill of Oklahoma City and Beverly Mitchuson of Bradley. Grandchildren: Hunter Richards, Brenna Richards, Blake Irwin, and Gage Irwin. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Church of God, Erin Springs with Bro. Ralph Conkling officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
