Jacqueline Sue Henson-Horton August 23, 1923 – July 25, 2017 Jacqueline Sue (Henson) Horton, 93, of Athens, Texas, went to be with her Lord on July 25, 2017. Jacqueline was born on August 23, 1923 to Joseph “Joe” Marion and Susie Lee (Mayes) Henson in Maysville, OK. Jacque was a 1942 graduate of Maysville High School. She loved crafts of all kinds; building doll houses, making quilts for her grandchildren and could tackle any home project from tearing down walls to building decks…she could do it. A lover of gardening with quite the green thumb, Jacque could grow anything. Jacque loved her crossword puzzles, often spending hours completing one after another. She was also very proud of her doll collections…with a heavy emphasis on Shirley Temple collectibles. She was preceded in death by her parents, “Joe” Marion and Susie Lee Henson; sisters, Juanita Paden, Billie “Maysie” Boatman Henke, and Cherry Cullins; brother John M. “Buck”Henson. Jacque leaves behind her loving children; Dian Abell of Ajijic, Mexico, Donna Ayers and husband Mic of Odessa, Texas, and Bill Horton and Wife Tracy of Milano, Texas; 6 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren to whom she was affectionately known to as “Bamo”. A graveside service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville OK with John R. Williams officiating.
