Buster Merle “Rastus” Brown, Jr. of Weleetka, formerly of Maysville was born on July 22, 1971 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Buster Merle Brown, Sr. and Minnie Lee (Johnson) Brown. He passed from this life on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 in his home at the age of 46 years. Buster Jr., who was lovingly known as Rastus, lived in Maysville all of his life until moving to Weleetka a year ago. He graduated from Maysville High School in 1993. Rastus enjoyed watching John Wayne movies, Smokey and the Bandit, Superman and other super heros who were his favorites. Rastus really liked Elvis Presley and did an excellent job impersonating him. He loved his family and spending time with them and enjoyed all of his friends that he had made throughout the years. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his dad, Buster Brown, Sr. of Maysville. Brothers: Tommy Brown of Maysville and David Brown of Lexington. Sisters: Debra Lawson of Arkoma, OK; Sheila Keith and husband Rodney of Maysville; and Pam Miller and husband Ron of Noble. And many nieces and nephews. Rastus was preceded in death by his mother Minnie Brown; sister Kerri Lynn Brown; niece Kara Brown; uncles, Lank Johnson, Stanley Johnson, and Billy Joe Johnson; and aunts, Imogene Stephens and Lola Mae Clarkston. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport and Bro. Johnny Tyler with officiate.
