SPC - Specialist Carl Wayne Hulsey, Jr., 52, died peacefully in his Lindsay, Oklahoma home on July 9th, 2017. SPC Hulsey was born on March 13, 1965 in Baldwin Park, California to Carl Wayne and Barbara Hulsey. On August 4th, 1989 he joined the armed forces and was assigned to the army base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina for training. After completion of his training; he was assigned and deployed overseas where he eventually was stationed in South Korea where he spent most of his active duty. . Upon his recommission he was deployed back state side and assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado until his honorable discharge from service. SPC --Hulsey while serving his country was awarded multiple medals for meritorious service, conduct, defense, marksmanship, and weapons. SPC -Hulsey was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a loving father, son, and brother. After leaving the military he worked as a maintenance engineer and pipeline foreman. He is survived by his daughters, Helen Hulsey, Hera Hulsey, and Cora Hulsey all of Kansasville, WI. His father and mother, Carl Wayne and Barbara Hulsey, of Lindsay, OK, His Sisters Deborah Bales of Lindsay. Ok, Jennifer Hulsey, of Grapevine TX and his brother Richard Hulsey, of Odessa, TX. His nephews Jackie Cooper Jr. And Justin Cooper of Lindsay, OK, Matthew Blundell of Oklahoma City, OK and Allie Blundell, of Piedmont, OK. Graveside Military Honor Guard Memorial will take place Thursday July 13th,10:00 A.M. at the Green Hill Memorial Cemetery, Lindsay, Oklahoma under the direction of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
