Earl Kenneth Sanders was born on July 24, 1931 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Em and Dolly (Davis) Sanders. He passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home in Maysville at the age of 85 years. Earl grew up in Maysville, graduating from Maysville High School in 1949. He went on to serve his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. After the war Earl went to work for Warren Petroleum and they transferred him to Dayton, Texas where he lived and later retired from Chevron in Mt. Bellview. In the late ‘90s he moved back to his hometown of Maysville. Earl loved his church the First Baptist Church of Maysville and his church family. He enjoyed eating, quilting, making jelly, canning, woodworking, and watching the OKC Thunder Basketball team. Earl loved spending time with his family and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His survivors include his wife Laverne Sanders of the home. Son, Terry Sanders and wife Cindy of Ackery, Texas and their children, Tanner Sanders and wife Shaina, and children Rylie and Ty Sanders of Odessa, Texas. Shiloh Peterson and husband Cade and children Cason and Kanon of Vealmore, Texas. Son, Wayne Sanders and wife Sheila and children Kelly and husband Derek and Kristin Sanders of Dayton, Texas. Stepsons: Mike Beck and wife Nancy of Norman, Oklahoma. Stepson, Steve Beck and wife Twilla of Tulsa, Oklahoma and their children, Julie and Chris Yuill and son Noah Allen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Elizabeth and Joel Staggs and children Jaxson and Avery of Purcell, Oklahoma; and Chelsea and Kelby Dickson and children Bentleigh, Baelee Kae, and Roman of Cleveland, Oklahoma. Step-grandson, Gavin Beck and wife Lora and son Sullivan of Norman, Oklahoma. A sister, Reda Don McKenzie of Maysville, her children Connie, Ricky, Shela, and grandchildren Robbie, Melissa, Mark, Charity, KK, and Kayln. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Em and Dolly Sanders; brothers Jack Sanders and baby boy Sanders, and a step-son Robert (Bob) Beck. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 pm, Monday, May 15, 2017 at Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, Oklahoma with Rev. Chuck Shilling officiating.
