Harold Gene Buchanan

Harold Gene Buchanan was born on April 10, 1933 in Maysville, OK to Gussie Alden Buchanan and Emma Irene (Burger) Buchanan. He passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in Wayne, OK at the age of 83 years. Harold was a lifetime resident of Wayne. He and Betty June were together 34 years. He loved his truck driving job for Trans Con, where he worked until he retired. He also worked in the oilfield at S&S Construction of Maysville. Harold was a man with a good sense of humor who liked going to garage sales. He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and horses. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his son, Mike Buchanan and wife Pam of Wayne. Daughters, Sue Robison of Depew; Teresa Mitchell and husband Scott of Wayne; and LaDonna Bell and husband Rick of Purcell. Brothers: Jerry Buchanan and wife Debbie of Calera and Ronnie Buchanan of Checotah. Sisters: Helen Cox of Lindsay and Shirley Moore of Oklahoma City. 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Gussie and Emma Buchanan, his wife, Betty June Buchanan and a son-in-law, Jesse Robison. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Maysville Cemetery with Re. Chris Thorman officiating with burial under the direction of John W.
