Martha Aileene Jensen

Martha Aileene Jensen, 93 of Lindsay, was born on February 28, 1923 in Pernell, Oklahoma to Robert Driskill and Zady (Turner) Driskill. She passed away on November 26, 2016 at her home. Aileene was a lifetime resident of this area where she attended school at Maysville and then in 1975 obtained a GED. She married O. W. “Ott” Jensen on September 29, 1940. She worked at the Pauls Valley General Hospital and cooked at McCaskill’s Nursing Home, but mostly worked as a homemaker and worked along side of her husband on their farm. She loved taking care of her family and teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook. Aileene enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, sewing, Search Word books, cooking, and quilting. She made every grandchild and great grandchild a quilt of their own and her cherry jelly was the best Christmas gift you could receive. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay. Aileene will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her daughters, Sue Hutson and Carolyn Lewis both of Lindsay. Sister, Dolly Adams of Lindsay. Brothers-in-law, Cletus Quinn and Donald Bray. Grandchildren: David and Delora Lister, Pepper and Carl Austin, Allen and Marina Lister, Sonya and Steve James, and Glen and Kim Hutson. Great grandchildren: Kyle and Callie Lister, Kayla and Brandon Redd, David Austin, Presley Austin, Chance Austin, Veronika Walters, Brooklyn Hutson, Bridgette Hutson, and Chad Hutson. And a host of other relatives. Aileene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zady Driskill; her husband O.W. Jensen; brothers, Odie Keltner, Tommy Keltner, Major Driskill, and Vernon Driskill; and sisters, Cora Stewart, Bessie Bray, Tressie Bradshaw, and Margie Belt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay with Rev. Randy Allen officiating.
