Paul Edward Rouviere, 84, of Lindsay, was born on May 8, 1932 in Gowen, Oklahoma to Louis Rouviere, Jr. and Edith (White) Rouviere. He passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at his home. Paul grew up in Hartshorne where he attended school, before going into the U. S. Army. After serving in the military, he attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton for 2 years. In 1953 he married Floy Louise Hatcher in Walden, Arkansas. Paul worked as a truck driver for Lan Hart Lumber Company, a cab driver, and rig watching. He moved from Antlers to Lindsay in 2004. He loved spending time with his family and cooking. Paul enjoyed Flea Markets, auctions, garage sales, and watching wrestling. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his sons: Mike Rouviere and Lela Faye Owens of Davis, South Dakota and Larry Rouviere and wife Betty of Lindsay. Daughters: Judy Griffith of Wynnewood, Virginia Brandon and husband Doug of Lindsay, Zella Frady of Lindsay, Billie Ward of Lindsay, and Ruthie Johnson and husband Walter of Lindsay. A brother, Phillip Rouviere and wife Claire of Jacksonville, Florida. Sister, Mary McGuire of Gowen, Oklahoma. 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Edith Rouviere; wife, Floy Louise Rouviere; an infant brother, Louis Dean Rouviere; a grandson, Kevin Hogan; and 3 great grandchildren, Isaac Burke, Elizabeth Acota, and Kylie Ramming. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the First Assembly of God Church in Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
