Cleta Wanan Alexander

Cleta Wanan Alexander of Wellston was born on September 8, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Elmer Jack Powell and Betty Joe (Debord) Powell. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 30, 3016 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59 years. Cleta lived in Oklahoma all of her life. She married Glenn Alexander on September 21, 1983. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandbabies. Cleta enjoyed watching wrestling and Nascar on television and playing with her animals. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Glenn of the home in Wellston. Daughters: Betty Louann Deviney and husband Davy and Wanan Crystal Elliott and husband, George all of Maysville. Brothers: Jim Powell of Pauls Valley; Melvin Powell and wife Shonda of Maysville; Elmer Powell of Oklahoma City; and Bob Powell of Byars. Sisters: Mary Knight of Pauls Valley; Connie Walls of Purcell; Trish Powell of Purcell; and Jennie Acuna and husband Johnny of Sayre. Grandchildren: Joey Deviney, Chaz Deviney, and Whitney Zeiset. Great grandchildren: Kensley Deviney, Abby Deviney, Karrson and Robert Zeiset. And a host of other relatives and friends. Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Betty Powell. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Antioch Cemetery with Davy Deviney and John W. Williams officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
