Lonnie Dean Miller of Maysville was born on February 12, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to L. D. And Susie Jane (Ward) Miller. He passed from this life on Friday, January 8, 2016 in his home at the age of 68 years. Lonnie lived in the Story and Maysville area all of his life, attending school at French then transferring to Maysville where he graduated in 1965. He was a farmer and rancher who worked with his brother, Paul and nephew, Kevin growing alfalfa, soybeans, wheat, and tended cattle. He loved OU Football and collecting OU paraphernalia. Lonnie married Nona Belle Dobbs on August 1, 1998 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and they enjoyed traveling places together. He was a kind hearted man with a gentle spirit and was well thought of in the community. Lonnie loved his family dearly and their special get togethers and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. His survivors include his wife, Nona of the home. Step-daughters: Allison Bydalek and husband, Kent of Omaha, Arkansas and Amy Richards and husband, Travis of Red Owl, South Dakota. Brothers: Fred Miller and wife, Margaret of Maysville and Paul Miller and wife, Barbara of Maysville. Sisters: Erna Lee Chrisco and husband, Rex of Wichita, Kansas; Minnie Smith and husband, Charles of Glenpool, Oklahoma; Joyce Shea of Alaska; and Julia Beam of Noble. Step-grandchildren: Cannon Burghardt, Cedar Leaman, Emily Escott, and Abigail Wicks. And numerous other relatives. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, L. D. and Susie Miller; a brother, Eugene Miller; and sister, Peggy Hatfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville with Brother Tim Carr and John R. Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the directions of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family www.winansfuneralhome.com
