Lyndal Wayne Beasley of Lindsay was born on August 28, 1944 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to L. C. Beasley and Edith (Powell) Beasley. He passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 71 years. Lyndal was a lifetime resident of Lindsay attending school there and at Hughes. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He moved to Clinton for a short time before returning to Lindsay. He had worked for B.J. Services as a cement lab tech and for Western before retiring. Lyndal came out of retirement to work as an oilfield pumper for Chesapeake for 5 years. He married Shirley McKenzie on November 1, 2013 in Branson, Missouri. He enjoyed working on old cars and listening to live country music, but fishing was his passion. Lyndal was a member of the Lindsay Church of Christ. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survivors include his wife Shirley Beasley of the home. Son, Damon Beasley and wife Monte of Foster. Step sons: Martin Houston McKenzie and wife Kalena of Lindsay and Ernest Wayne McKenzie and wife Shelly of Lindsay. A foster son, Andrew Retorick of Oklahoma City. Adopted son, Jeff Wallace and wife Jenny of Lindsay. Step-daughter, Bobbie Jo McKenzie of Lindsay. Granddaughter, Chandra Scott. Step-grandchildren: Ariel, Saydi,Garrett,Madison,and Layla McKenzie, Katelyn, Josalyn,and Ethan Wallace. Lyndal was loved by many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bud & Edith Beasley; a son Tony Beasley; brothers, Claude Beasley, David Beasley, and Steven Beasley; and sister Ellen Lee. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Lindsay Church of Christ with Josh Howe officiating under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.
