Douglas Clarence Pharaoh of Wynnewood was born on December 27, 1952 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Clarence Lonnie Pharaoh and Beulah Bell (Spencer) Pharaoh. He passed from this life on Friday, July 3, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 62 years. Doug grew up in the Maysville area, graduating from Maysville High School in 1971. He studied Forestry at Murray State College and obtained a BS degree in Forestry from OSU. After completing his degree he moved out West to work in forestry, working as a smoke jumper in Arizona and a trail ranger at Three Sisters in Oregon. After moving back to Oklahoma he worked in the oilfields for Halliburton, Gerhart, and as an environmental engineer for Conoco in Ponca City. After retiring from Conoco, he moved back to the Maysville area to help take care of his father. Doug enjoyed canoeing and river rafting. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his daughter, Rebecca Crowe of Georgia. Brothers: Chris Pharaoh and wife Misty of Greybull, Wyoming and Jeff Pharaoh and wife Karen of Worland, Wyoming. A sister, Rita Alexander and husband Larry of Wynnewood. Nieces: Destiny, Elena, and Monica Pharaoh and Krysti.Alexander. Nephews: Curtis Alexander and wife Jessica; James Tanner and Jack Tyler Pharaoh. Great nephews, Dylan and Creede Alexander. and a host of other relatives and friends. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bell Pharaoh. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Pastor Jeff Pharaoh officiating.
