Euel Nile White of Del City was born on July 15, 1913 in Maysville, Oklahoma to James Euel White and Dora Violet (Fanning) White. He went home to be with his Heavenly father on Friday, July 3, 2015 at the age of 101 years, 11 months, and 3 days. Euel was raised in Maysville where he graduated from high school. He attended the University of Oklahoma for one year, before joining the service, where he serviced his country as a Army/Air Corp pilot during World War II. After leaving the military, he worked on a farm. Euel married Lora Francis Lewis on August 13, 1940 in El Reno, Oklahoma, they were married for 69 years when she passed away on March 3, 2010. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller in Fort Worth and El Paso, Texas, then moved to Oklahoma where he was the supervisor of all air traffic controllers at Will Rogers, Wiley Post, Tinker, and Twin Lakes. In 1970 he retired after 30 years of service. Euel was a picker and enjoyed people, yard work, and gardening. He was a member of the church of Christ and lived at the Wellington Parke Assisted Living Community. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his daughters: Dana Ward of Midwest City and Lisa McWhirter and husband Jim of Choctaw. Grandchildren: Jason and Sandie Ward, Tara McWhirter, Jena and Adam Barocio, Marci and Josh Simmons, Julie and Scott Parkhurst, and Scott and Allyson McWhirter. Great grandchildren: Rylee and Raigan Simmons, Camden and Caleb Barocio. Euel was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lora Francis White; son-in-law, Freddie Ward; and sister Jackie Jones and her husband Floyd Jones. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Wellington Parke, 3107 Tinker Diagonal Street, Del City, Oklahoma.
