Beverly Joan Rogers of Maysville was born on July 18, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Velma Jewell (Taylor) Morse. She passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years. Beverly lived in the Maysville area all of her life except for a short time in Bakersfield, California. She started working when she was 11 years old in the Grill Restaurant, then continued her career with Wackers, Attorney Bill Wilson, a propane company, Super C Grocery Store, Pat's Plants, and for the Maysville Schools as cafeteria supervisor for 19 years. Beverly married Ronald Gillham on April 16, 1965 and to this union two children were born, Paige and Chad. Ronald preceded her in death on September 26, 1997. She enjoyed growing flowers, trips to Colorado, riding 4-wheelers, and shooting at her own personal targets. She always had an open door policy at her home and had many, many good friends and enjoyed some good times with them. On July 1, 2000 she married Ellis Rogers. They loved cooking together in the kitchen as gourmet cooks and feeding people. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved Elvis Presley and was so excited when she visited Memphis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maysville where she taught the three year olds in Sunday school for many years. Beverly will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Ellis of the home. A daughter, Paige Helm and husband Jimbo of Byars. Son, Chad Gillham and wife Shawnda of Maysville. Step-daughters: Tina Ledgerwood and Stan of Maysville and Tammy Armstrong of Washington. Sisters: Rita Paredes of Antlers and Minnie Powell of Norman. Grandchildren: Ariel Gillham, Ariana Gillham, Chade Gillham and Bailey Jackson, Dalton McWhirter, Brielle Helm and Jake Hawley, Ashton and Tyler Sprabery, Trey Helm, Nathan and Sadie Armstrong, and Zachary Armstrong. Great-Grandchildren: Jaxon Sprabery, Mavrix Sprabery, Aurora Gillham, Kynlee Hawley, Bentley Armstrong, and Sprabery twins due in July. and several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and first husband Ronald Gillham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, Oklahoma with Rev. Steve Spangler and Pastor Eddie Wollenberg officiating.
