Frankie Darell "Frank" Foster was born on August 12, 1935 in to G. W. “Winston” and Jessie Leona (McCaskill) Foster. He departed this life on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 79 years. Frank grew up in Maysville, and later graduated from high school in Chickasha in 1953. He married Wilma Lee Swink on July 4, 1954 in Hugo, Oklahoma and they celebrated 60 years of marriage before Wilma passed away on October 19, 2014. Frank worked for Phillips and Sunoco Oil Companies and they lived in Texas, Colorado, and several places in Oklahoma. He was a gas plant district superintendent at the time of his retirement from Sunoco. After Frank retired, they moved back to Maysville for several years before moving to Ponca City to be near their daughter and her family. Frank loved his dogs and he spoiled them all rotten by taking them for daily rides in the pickup and feeding them whatever they wanted. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and cooking for them. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching sports, whether it was his nephews playing or just a good game on television. Frank was well known for playing his guitar and singing you a tune whether it was in his home or at church, he loved music. He could also be quit a teaser, but that only meant he loved you and he would give you a nick name if you hung around for very long. He was a great cook, so if you ever went to his house, he would always try to feed you. Frank was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. His survivors include his daughter, Linda Cain and husband Terry of Tonkawa. Granddaughters: Lori Brown and husband Michael of Ponca City and Tera Goddard of McLoud and great grandchildren, Gunner Brown and Terryn Goddard. His sister, Wanda Odom of Maysville. Sister-in-law, Betty Foster of Lindsay. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Winston and Jessie Foster; wife, Wilma Lee Foster; a son, Ricky Foster; and brothers, Bob Foster and S. J. Foster. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Rev. Allen Carroll and Rev. Randy Rhea officiating.
