Betty Marie Brim

Betty Marie Brim was born on May 22, 1937 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Jim Hatman and Emma (Thompson) Hatman. She passed from this life on December 15, 2014 at her home in Maysville at the age of 77 years. Betty was a homemaker who had also worked outside the home as a mail carrier, horticulturist, and a substitute teacher. She married Webster Brim on July 6, 1953 in Purcell. They lived in Drummond, Oklahoma before moving to Maysville four years ago. Betty had served as the Mayor of Drummond where she was instrumental in getting the town a new water tower. She was an avid reader and excellent seamstress who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and quilting. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Betty will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Webster of the home. Daughters: Barbara Klein and husband Jerry of Maysville; Menita Allen of Temple, Texas ; Rhonda Stuart of Enid; and Marlene Peckham of Maysville. 10 Grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. and a host of other relatives. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Emma Hatman. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK under the direction John Williams of Winans Funeral Home.
