Diana Lea Deaton was born on June 5, 1952 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Jimmy Lee Deaton and Foncene Joyce (Castleman) Deaton. She passed from this life on Thursday, September 18, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years. While growing up, Diana attended Catholic Schools. She lived in Garvin County most of her life. She worked as a cook and managed Joyce’s Café in Maysville for many years. She was very easy going and enjoyed her family, reading, fishing, and riding a motorcycle on the back roads. Diana was an excellent cook who always served home-cooked meals. She was affiliated with of the Assembly of God Church in Maysville. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her son, Joe Deaton and wife Stacey of Purcell. A daughter, Sara Bennett and husband Chris of Glenpool. Brothers: Jimmy Deaton of Pauls Valley and Trampas Deaton. Step-brothers: Ricky Selman and wife Diana of Maysville and Ray Selman of Maysville. Six grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Deaton and Joyce Selman; a son Earl Van Denton; sisters, Deborah Deaton and Dana Cole; brother Gary Deaton; and step-brother Stacy Selman. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, September 22, 2014 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
