Dorothy Blanche Pate of Maysville was born on April 6, 1927 in the Lake Valley community near Cordell, OK to Franklin E. and Okie Lillian (Isbell) Ford. She passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Purcell, OK at the age of 87 years. Dorothy was raised in the Cordell area and was a high school graduate. She married Louis Howard Pate on June 11, 1950 in Clinton, Oklahoma. They moved from Cordell to Lindsay in February 1951, then later to the Maysville area. She was a dedicated homemaker and sold Avon for 30 years. Dorothy was affiliated with the Holiness Church, but was recently attending the Story Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Louis Pate of the home. Sons: Dana Louis Pate of Midland, Texas; Larry Dean Pate and wife Terry of Newcastle; and Don Lawayne Pate of Maysville. A daughter, Ladonna Preast and husband Tommy of Maysville. 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Okie Ford; and brothers, Dean G.
