Bennie Vinson

Bennie Vinson of Lindsay was born on January 2, 1939 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Allen Vinson and Ella (Williams) Vinson. He passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at his home north of Lindsay at the age of 75 years. Bennie is a lifetime resident of Lindsay. He married Georgia Crossland on October 4, 1986 in Lexington, OK. He worked as a spooler for Baker Hughes. Bennie enjoyed noodling, hunting arrowheads, and relaxing on the back porch. He was a member of the Grace Chapel Family Worship in Lexington. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his wife, Georgia of the home. Sons: Anthony Paul Vinson and wife Jaci; Carlos Vinson and wife Julie. Step-son, Bryan Pettigrew and his wife, Summer; Step-daughters: Roni Miller and husband Bryan; Kim Ellis and husband Dan. Brothers: Doyle Vinson and wife Pat; Dickie Vinson and wife Sandra. Sister, Helen Staggs and husband Raymond 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren Bennie is preceded in death by his parents, Allen Vinson and Ella Selby; 2 sons, Allen Ray Vinson and Timothy Vinson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at the First Assembly of God Church in Lindsay with Brother Spurgeon Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay, OK under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
