LaVerle Bratcher of Maysville was born on October 25, 1926 in Wolf, Oklahoma to Lee M. Morphew and Mada (Rogers) Morphew. She passed away on August 13, 2014 at the age of 87 years. LaVerle came to Maysville in 1927 with her family who farmed northwest of town. She owned and operated her own beauty shop for many years and was an excellent seamstress. Her husband Marwin Narramore preceded her in death in 1988. LaVerle was active in the First Baptist Church of Maysville where she was a member. On August 30, 1990 she married Garland Bratcher in Pauls Valley. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband, Garland Bratcher of the home in Maysville. Daughters: Shirley and Barbara and families. Garland’s children: Bob Bratcher and wife Joan of Davis; Kay Kittrell and husband Gary of Maysville; Patty Pope and husband Ross of Oklahoma City; and Marla Lucas and husband Jerry of Norman. Grandchildren: Steven Bratcher, Stacey Rose, Gwen Webb, Randy Kittrell, Brennan Pope, Eryn Pope, Marci Beck, and Edwin Lucas. Great grandchildren: Allison Bratcher, Erika Bratcher, Samantha Bratcher, Luke Bratcher, Brady Dallas, Ryan Kittrell, Ryder Kittrell, Rylan Kittrell, Collin Pope, Cody Beck, and Millie Lucas. LaVerle was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mada Morphew; husband Marwin Narramore; sisters Mary Reeves, Loree Hensley, and Laverne Wigley; and brothers Bob Morphew and Lois Morphew. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, OK with Rev. J. V. Lobaugh officiating.
