Jeremiah Cass “J. C.” Underwood of Maysville was born on October 16, 1981 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Casey Lee Underwood and Valerie Lynn Harris. He passed away due to a traffic accident on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 near Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 32 years. J. C. attended Maysville Schools where he graduated in 2000. He worked as a derrick hand for Stride Well Service in Lindsay. His children were his reason for being. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, outdoor activities, and a huge fan of OU football. He loved music and expressed himself through music. J. C. was very happy with Chesney Moore. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. His survivors include his parents: Casey and Maxine Underwood of Maysville; and Valerie Harris of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The mother of his children: Selina Burke of Elk City A son, Nova Cass Underwood of Elk City. Daughters: Caprice Gabriana Underwood and Hailey Radtke-Underwood both of Elk City. Brothers: Sean Casey Underwood and Chasity of Maysville; Jonathan Ashley and Tonya of Lindsay; and Geoffrey Ashley of Moore. Sisters: Brandy Underwood and Gabriel of Midwest City; and Samanthya Linam and C. J. of Pauls Valley. His Trophy and the love of his life, Chesney Moore and her daughter Scout. Grandparents: Jean “Nanny” Russell and Donna “Grandma Neal” Neal. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. J. C. was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Casey Pease. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, June 2, 2014 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
