Earl Eugene Boen was born on August 12, 1944 in Wayne, Oklahoma to William Earl and Anna Drew (Rana) Boen. He passed away on Monday, November 25, 2013 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 69 years. Earl graduated from Maysville High School in 1963 and attended Baylor University for 2 years. He served his country during the Vietnam War, as a combat medic with the Big Red One, in the U. S. Army and retired after 20 years of service. He was an advocate for Vietnam Vets. Earl was a lifetime member of the Vietnam Vets of America where he served as president for Chapter #846 in Purcell and PaulsValley, the DAV, American Legion, and Blanchard VFW. He married Anna Maria Raboski on December 1, 1975 in Pauls Valley. He worked as a self employed cross country truck driver for 30 years. Earl and his family moved back to Maysville in 1996. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family get-togethers. He enjoyed fishing, and watching Nascar, OU Football, the “Price Is Right”, and “Let’s Make A Deal” on television. Earl was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Maysville. He was an avid advocate of breast cancer. He was a Grandpa to all of the girls friends. Earl will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his wife of almost 38 years, Anna of the home in Maysville. Sons: Earl Eugene Boen, Jr. of Maysville and William Paul Boen and his wife Angela of Maysville. A sister, Linda Tedder and husband Ken of Hartselle, Alabama. Grandchildren: Amanda Raboski Warren and husband Shawn of Purcell; Kathryn Crowell of Maysville; and Jaclyn Crowell and fiancé Jarred Wilkins of Lindsay; Pauline Boen, Virginia Boen, and William Boen all of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Great grandchildren: Hayden Wayne Earl Harrah, Alexica Hicks, Cullen House, Kyra Warren, and Arabella Wilkins. Also by many neices, nephews and friends and family. Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny and Donnie Boen; a daughter Eva Crowell; grandson Andrew Boen; and great grandchildren Shawna Warren and Gavin Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 2, 2013 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Davenport and Rev. Jessie Heath officiating.
