Richard Wayne Coatney, Jr. of Lindsay was born on February 10, 1959 in Ozona, Texas to Richard Wayne Coatney, Sr. and Betty Jean (McCaleb) Jaques. He passed from this life on Thursday, November 7, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 54 years. While growing up, Richard attended grade school in Maysville, then went to Moore High School and later graduated from Lindsay High School. He was in the National Guard for 6 months. Richard owned Harley’s Trucking Company. He often referred to himself as Elvis and would also impersonate him. Richard enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, being a jokester, and watching football and Nascar. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his father, Richard Wayne Coatney, Sr. and wife Pat of Lewisville, Texas. Step-dad, Paul Jaques of Maysville. Son, Harley Coatney of Ardmore. A daughter, LaKeitha Coatney of OklahomaCity. Brother, Rodney Coatney of Moore. Sister, Terri Hestand of Moore. Grandchildren: Isaiah Coatney, his princess - Milesha Coatney, his LG - Glenn Stroman and Echo Parker. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jaques; and a son, Dustin Coatney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, OK with Rev. Gary Elder officiating.
