Velma June Holland

Velma June Holland of Dibble was born on June 13, 1926 in Curry County, New Mexico to George Everett and Josephine (Bowman) Everett. She passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Blanchard, Oklahoma at the age of 87 years. June grew up and attended school in Wanette. She married Earl Holland in 1951. They lived in the Lindsay area, then they moved to Dibble to be near their daughter after Earl became ill. June worked as a housekeeper at 4-Seasons Nursing Home in Norman. She enjoyed sending out birthday cards to her family and taking morning walks. She was a member of the Iron Chapel Baptist Church and loved reading her Bible. June will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her daughters: Janell Dunn and husband Charlie of Dibble; and Vickie Holland of Texas. A son, Harold Holland of Dibble. 6 grandchildren,9 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents; husband Earl; and a sister Marie Williams. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Green Hill Cemetery, Lindsay with Rev. Sonny Royce officiating.
