Michael Phillip Moore, 68, of Cox City passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at his home. He was born on March 7, 1945 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to Ebba Jason and Elsie (Beam) Moore. Michael served his country in the U. S. Army stationed in Korea while serving in Vietnam. He married Barbara Ann Powell on July 6, 1999. He worked as a mechanic in the oilfield in the Lindsay area for over 20 years. Michael enjoyed family get-togethers, fishing, riding horses, rebuilding old cars, and loved gardening. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Michael will be greatly missed by his family. His survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home in Cox City. Daughters: Dana Nelson of Midland, Texas; and Kimberly Morales of Wichita Falls, Texas. Brothers: Wesley Moore of Wichita Falls, Texas; and Jerell Moore of Oregon. A sister, Ailene Newland of Denton, Texas Grandchildren: Taryn and Paytn Morales; Kaleb and Amber Smith; Danielle Kelly; Saya, Marilyn, and Mia Nelson. And other relatives and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Smith; brothers, Buddy, Gary, Jake, Don, Guy, and Clyde Moore; sisters, Loreen Pack, Cristine Moore, Claudene Moore, Freda Jo Moore, and Carol Joleyne Moore. Pallbearers are Cliff Moore, Tyler Moore, Dale Pack, Charlie Pack, Tommy Moore, Jeff Moore. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 13, 2013 at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsay, OK with Rev. Clay Hicks officiating. Burial will be under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
