Maurine Hattie Turner was born on April 14, 1923 in Maysville, Oklahoma to Wesley and Minnie Ellen (Plaster) Brinkley. She passed from this life on Friday, April 19, 2013 in Pauls Valley, OK at the age of 90 years. Mrs. Turner attended Maysville Schools and lived here all of her life. She married Leonard Clarence Turner on July 3, 1939 in Pauls Valley, OK. She worked for 17 years at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman. Mrs. Turner was an active member of the Maysville Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed fishing and camping with her family. A favorite hobby to pass the time for her was working jigsaw puzzles. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were a true delight to her and she enjoyed their companionship. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her daughters: Sue Murray and her husband Collin of Maysville; and Cynthia Turner of Rush Springs, OK. A son, Richard Turner and his wife Barbara of Maysville. 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wes and Minnie Brinkley; her husband, Leonard; and her son, Gene. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Maysville Assembly of God Church with Rev. Billy Davenport and Rev. Gerald Stevens officiating.
