Betty Ann Howse passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at her home in Wanette at the age of 79 years. She was born on July 10, 1933 in Electra, Texas to Herman Elmer and Lena Undine (Simmons) Potts. Betty married William”Bill” Jefferson Howse, Jr. on May 2, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She had worked for retail merchants, Bell Telephone Company, the Wanette Post Office, and a nursing home in Lexington. While living in Midwest City she was involved in the PTA and fund raising for schools. They moved to Wanette in 1974. Betty enjoyed decorating cakes, gardening, and sewing everything. She loved her babies and grandbabies and was always taking pictures of all her family. She was always smiling and giggling. Betty would always clean up from a day’s work and greet Bill at the door with a big kiss. She taught Sunday School, worked as church secretary, and was a member of the Victory Pointe Baptist Church in Wanette. Betty will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Her survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bill of the home in Wanette. Son, Williams J. Howse III and wife Betty Carol of Wanette. Daughters: Lori Cheryl Bryant and husband Tonny of Lexington; Toni Diane Ferencich and husband Mike of Florida; Betty Carolyn Barnes of Flower Mound, Texas. Brother, Robert Jerry Potts of Florida. Sister, Norma Faye Hill of Laguana Park, Texas. 22 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. And a host of other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Earl Potts and Billy Potts; sisters, Naoma Mae and Wilma Jean. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 22, 2013 in Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK with Randy Golden officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by Bill Howse, III at 3:00 pm in the Prairie Mound Cemetery, Argyle, Texas under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.
