Cory Aaron Chandler, formerly of Maysville, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Oklahoma City at the age of 28 years. He was born on March 1, 1985 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Alan Ray Chandler and Kimberly (Boyer) Chandler. Cory attended school in Maysville and Norman. While in school, he played the clarinet in grade school and the drums in the high school band. He was a self-taught guitarist. He also played little league baseball and junior high basketball. Cory ‘s favorite teacher was Debi Higginbottom. He was involved in FFA, where his pig won at the State Fair. He always enjoyed pizza delivery. His favorite hobby was fishing with his dad. Cory enjoyed going to visit his brother, Mark in Texas and going to Whitewater with his sister, Amber. His favorite person was Dr. Charles Smith who took him to see Christmas lights every year. At age 9 he was saved, baptized, and became a member of the First Baptist Church of Maysville. Cory was very kind hearted and never met a stranger. He leaves behind a legacy of love. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his mother, Kimberly Chandler of the home in Maysville. Sister, Amber Dawn Chandler of Norman. Brothers: Mark Chandler and wife Kim of Odessa, Texas and Patrick Chandler of Odessa, Texas. Grandparents: Don and Pat Boyer of Maysville. His girlfriend of 7 years, Gina Lockhart of Oklahoma City. Nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and many, many friends. Cory was preceded in death by his dad, Alan and his grandmother, Ellen Chandler. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 15, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, OK with Rev. Steve Spangler officiating.
