Nathan Dale Blankenship, age 32, of Lindsay passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 and was found on Thursday, February 14, 2013. He was born on June 19, 1980 in Lindsay, Oklahoma to Thomas Dale Blankenship and Terri Lee (Adkins) Blankenship. Nathan attended school in Lindsay and Maysville, graduating in 2000 from Maysville High School. He worked for his dad at Blankenship Service Company, and in 2010 he worked in Pennsylvania. He enjoyed driving golf balls and football and his favorite teams were OU and the Dallas Cowboys. He liked Michael Jordan and every year bought a new pair of Air Jordan shoes. Nathan was very particular about his possessions especially his pickup and “he like to get his groove on”. He was a kid at heart and enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews to Wal-Mart to buy toys and going to Andy Alligators with them. Everyone knew that Nathan was NOT a morning person. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his father, Thomas Blankenship and wife Diana of Lindsay. Step-father, Keith Cooper of Lindsay. Brothers, Dustin Blankenship and wife Erin of Lindsay; and Daniel Cooper of Lindsay. Sister, Mandi Blankenship Robbins of Lindsay. Maternal grandmother, Frankie Adkins of Lindsay Step-brothers: James, Eric, and Jason Mills. Step-sisters: Michelle Acuna, Misty Fuller, and Tamara Alvarado. Dad to: Shelby, MaKala, and Kurtis Simmons of Oklahoma City. Foster brothers: Chris Kutz, Clint Allen, and John Holliman. Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Terri Cooper; brother, Brandon Dale; grandparents, Blair Adkins, Calvin and Johnnie Ruth Blankenship. Family visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at funeral home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, February 22, 2013 at the Erin Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Blankenship officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
