Dana Denise Cole passed away at her home in Lindsay on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 56 years. She was born on November 4, 1956 in Oklahoma City to Jimmy Deaton and Joyce (Castleman) Deaton. Dana attended school in Lexington and had also lived in Purcell, Wayne, Maysville, and Lindsay. She worked for 40 years in restaurants and cafes in various towns, and thought of herself as a “Personal Waitress”. She was a people person who liked working with the public. Dana enjoyed selling Avon, reading, and collecting angels. She loved her nieces and nephews and taught them to believe in Christ and the Bible. She was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Dana will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Her survivors include her sister, Diana Deaton of Lindsay. Brothers, Jimmy Michael Deaton of Stratford and Trampas Deaton of Purcell. Step-daughters, Amy Cole and Misty Wood. Many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. And a host of other relatives and friends. Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Deaton and Joyce Deaton Selman; sister, Deborah; brother, Gary; and nephew, Earl. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 18, 2013 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville with Rev. Billy Davenport officiating.
