Earl "Ed" Edward Tarrant

Earl “Ed” Tarrant was born on September 20, 1939 to H.L. “Lonnie” Tarrant and Lora Shuler Tarrant in Foster, Okla. and died January 9, 2013 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Ed married Mary Frances Woolsey on August 25, 1957. They had three children: Ricky Earl, Michael Scott, and Sherry Frances. Ed worked several years in the oilfield and construction, but he was a farmer at heart. In his later years he enjoyed going to Gas-N-Go in Maysville and drinking coffee with friends. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Tarrant of the home in Paoli. Sons: Ricky Tarrant of Paoli; and Scott Tarrant and wife Diana of Maysville. A daughter, Sherry Schauer and husband Dale of Wayne. Sisters: Fay Williams and husband Jack of Levelland, TX; Barbara Easley and husband Ray of Patterson, LA; Kay Brashears and husband Belford of Wynnewood, OK; Carolyn Gamble and husband Ray of Anadarko, OK; and Connie Sanders and husband Dickie of Amber, OK. 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Ed is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Tarrant, mother Lora Tarrant, a brother who died at birth, grandson Bernie Tarrant and granddaughter Alisha Fisher. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Story Baptist Church, Maysville with Bro. Tim Carr officiating. Burial will be in the Foster Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
