Ruth Ann Bowen

Ruth Ann Bowen of Lindsay passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her home, north of Lindsay at the age of 67 years. She was born on January 4, 1945 at Chickasha, Oklahoma to William E. and Adah Ruth (Morgan) Kendrick. Ann has been a Lindsay resident all of her adult life. She married Jess Jay Bowen on December 30, 1967 at Lindsay. Ann enjoyed traveling cross country in the truck with Jess. He preceded her in death in March 19, 2007. Ann was a homemaker who liked to watch soap operas and the television show “Law and Order”. She enjoyed attending the family festivities, Brandi fixing her hair, and traveling with Margaret. She loved her dogs. Ann was affiliated with the Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her survivors include her son, Jeff Bowen and Brandi of Lindsay. Daughter, Tammy Childers of Tulsa. Brothers: Mike Kendrick and wife, Mary Sue of Wayne; and Gene Kendrick and wife, Ellie of Taylorville, Illinois. Sister, Pat Kendrick of Lindsay. 6 grandchildren: Kristin Rosamond, Megan LaBlue, Jake Bowen, Sarah Bowen, Jordin Azlin, and Kinley Robinson. 2 great grandchildren, Connor Rosamond and Austin Rosamond. A devoted and beloved friend, Margaret Fallon of Lindsay. And many other relatives and friends. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jess. Family visitation will be at Jeff’s house, 12741 180th Street, Lindsay, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Winans Funeral Home Chapel, Maysville, OK with Bro. Bill Love officiating.
