Susan Elaine Brotman, 64, of Maysville passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Norman Regional Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1947 in Torrance, California to William and Beverly (Sullivan) Loudermilk. Susan grew up in California and lived there until moving to Maysville in 1997. She married Irwin Brotman on July 6, 1974 in Inglewood, California. While living in California, she did modeling in department stores. After moving to Oklahoma, she worked with her daughter in Little Miracles Day Care in Maysville. Susan was a healthcare giver who always served others. She was a “Creature of Habit” who enjoyed going to the Maysville Gas ‘n’ Go every morning to visit with everyone. Susan learned to sew when she was 15 years old and made aprons, adult bibs, and baby shoes for craft shows. She was known for always making Gingerbread houses at Christmas. She loved her grandchildren dearly and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Irwin Brotman of the home in Maysville. A daughter, LaRea Grimshaw and husband, Ken of Moore, OK. Her mother and step-father, Beverly Loudermilk and Louie Huff of Tahama, California. A sister, Mary Porter and husband, Greg of Red Bluff, California. 3 Step-sons: Dennis Brotman and wife, Tammy of West Hills, California; Steven West of West Hollywood, California; and Fred Brotman and his wife, Mary of Westchester, California. 3 grandchildren: Brandon Grimshaw, Kyle Grimshaw, and Hayley Grimshaw. 5 step-grandchildren: Ashley Shubert, Ariel Brotman, Aaron Brotman, Ester Brotman and Hannah Brotman. 2 nieces: Krista and Jenilee. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Maysville, OK with Richard Chadwick officiating.
