Brandi Lee King went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from the Norman Regional Hospital at the age of 38 years. She was born on September 27, 1973 in Naches, Washington to Monte and Rebecca (Booth) Johnson. Brandi grew up in Naches, Washington graduating from Naches Valley High School. Upon graduation, she entered the United States Army, where she served for 2 years with Military Intelligence postings in Alaska and at Fort George Mead, Maryland, as a signal intelligence intercept analyst for the National Security Agency. Brandi received an honorable discharge with accommodations and was very proud of her military service. After her discharge, she moved to the Oklahoma City metro area where she met the love of her life, Jimmy King, while she was working at Pratt’s Bakery. Jimmy worked for Frito Lay and made deliveries to the store where Brandi was employed. She always said it was Jimmy who rescued her and led her into a relationship with Jesus. They were married September 18, 1999 at Morrison Conservatory in Oklahoma City and made their home in Noble before moving to Maysville in 2004. Brandi loved being a wife, mother, and homemaker. She home schooled her 2 younger children. Brandi was an active member of Riverside Church in Norman for many years where she and Jimmy served as children’s Sunday School teachers and she was a Floodgate youth ministry leader. Brandi went with the Riverside Church Youth Group on a mission trip to the Philipines. She was a graduate of the International Gospel Outreach Institute for World Ministry and was a committed prayer intercessor for the nation of Israel where Brandi hoped to travel with her family as missionaries. When the family became members of the Abundant Love Fellowship, she continued to volunteer to work with the children and teenagers. Brandi loved taking trips with her family, often camping, spending time at the beach, a lake, or in the mountains. She was a loyal friend who treasured time spent talking, laughing, and playing. Brandi’s favorite things were Bible study and journaling, interior decorating, flower arranging, antiques, and music. She loved her Lord, her husband, her children, and her friends. Brandi will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her survivors include her husband, Jimmy of the home. Children: Dakota Hill, Montana King, and Ciarah King of the home.
