Ronald James Baker was born on November 16, 1937 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Claude and Addie Holmes Baker. He passed on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at his home in Paoli, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Ron Baker has lived most of his life in the Lindsay, Maysville, Paoli, and Oklahoma City area. He worked all of his life in the oilfield, truck driving, and construction. Ron married Sharyn Richardson on April 22, 1974 in Las Vegas. He was always committed to his work and didn’t like to be late. Ron enjoyed playing cards and going to the lake in his camper with his family and friends. He also enjoyed giving everyone a hard time, but you knew he loved you if he did. Ron recently liked spending his free time in his outdoor swing. He was a member of the Maysville Assembly of God. His survivors include his wife, Sharyn Baker of the home 1Son, Todd Baker of Oklahoma City. 4 Daughters: Ronda Buck and husband Wayne of Oklahoma City; Angie Craven and husband Mark of Clarksville Virginia; Stephanie Hamilton and husband Curtis of Pauls Valley; and Kena Bratt and husband Jimmy of Maysville. 3 Brothers: Bobby Baker of Lindsay; Joe Baker and wife Lynda of Oklahoma City, and Gary Baker of Holdenville, Oklahoma 1 Sister, Jeanette Green and husband Larry of Dibble 12 Grandchildren: Natasha Buck, Joshua Craven, Garet White, Tyler Buck, Dustin Craven, Dustin Baker, Alison Welch, Morgan Hamilton, Cade Cantrell, Nicholas Baker, Dylan Bratt, and Cash Bratt. 4 Great-grandchildren and a great number of nieces and nephews and friends made throughout the years. Ron is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Scotty Baker; 2 brothers, Kenneth and Carl Baker; and by a sister Carolyn Herman. Also by his mother-in-law Mildred Dickinson. Funeral services will be held Monday November 28, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Maysville Assembly of God with Rev. Bo Gibbs officiating with burial in the Green Hill Cemetery at Lindsay under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
