James "Andy" Andrew Parks

James Andrew “Andy” Parks of Maysville passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Norman Regional Hospital at the age of 44 years. He was born September 1, 1967 at Pauls Valley, OK to James Donnie and Florene (Ellithorp) Parks. Andy lived in Maysville all of his life. He was affectionately called “Teddy Bear”. At the age of 9 Andy answered the altar call at a revival service. He worshipped in his own way. Andy graduated from Maysville High School in 1986, while in school he also took classes at Vo-Tech studying diesel mechanics and shop welding. Andy was committed to his family and work. He loved farming from an early age and was very proud of his 2 donkeys. Andy relaxed by working on tractors, trucks, and other vehicles. He could fix the boys cars by talking to them long distance on the telephone and Tabby always received the most up to date traffic reports while driving to work in Oklahoma City. Andy was a great person who was a friend to everyone he knew and will be greatly missed. His survivors include his wife, Leigh Parks of the home in Maysville. Mother, Florene Wenzel of Maysville. His father, Donnie Parks and step-mom, Lois of Maysville. Daughter, Tabitha Winn and fiancé, Matt Barnes of Binger. Sons: Billy Winn and wife, Georgia of Oklahoma City; Garland Winn and wife, Dacia of Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; and Michael Winn and wife, Rachel of Phoenix, Arizona. Sister, Lisa Springman and husband, Tony of Maysville. Grandchildren: Brianna Adams, Braidon Layton, Reagan Adams, Jill Winn, Jennifer Winn, Emily Winn, Alie Winn, Tanner Barnes, Tucker Barnes, and Joshua Winn is due in January. Grandmother, Mammie Ellithorp Childress. And numerous other relatives and friends. Andy was preceded in death by his grandparents: Coy and Maurine Parks and V. W. “Dee” Ellithorp. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church, Maysville with Rev. Bo Gibbs and Rev. Billy Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com
