Delmar Gene Vance was born August 30, 1930 at El Paso, Arkansas to Jim and Mary Vinson Vance. He died September 24, 2011 in Oklahoma City at the age of 81 years. Delmar came to this area about 1950, he was a farmer and worked for Lloyd Morphew and Donnie Boyer in their farming operations. Delmar enjoyed socializing, bingo, and fishing. Last year Delmar moved himself into the Lindsay Manor Nursing Home, and enjoyed all of the benefits that afforded. He was affiliated with the Lindsay Assembly of God. Survivors: 3 Daughters: Cindy Vance of Lindsay; Angela Stroud and Brad of Dibble, Oklahoma; and Irene Cheek and Eddie of Lindsay. 1 Brother: Charles Vance of Brinkley, Arkansas, 9 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and a great number of friends made throughout the years. Delmer is preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Hugh and Sam Vance and by 2 Sons, Larry and Roger Vance. Grave side services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 am at the Maysville Cemetery with Brother Billy Davenport officiating.
