Sandra Jean “Sandy” Gamble Born: January 28, 1949 at Shawnee, Oklahoma to Jim and Imogene McDaniel Phillips. Died: August 14, 2011 at her home in Maysville after a lengthy illness. Age: 62 Sandy has lived in the Maysville area most of her life. She attended school here, graduating in 1967. While in school she was a high school band member, a twirler, and a member of the Rainbow Girls organization. On June 1, 1969 she married Jerry Gamble, son of Olin and Jane Gamble at the Maysville Methodist Church. Sandy previously worked as a teachers aide at Carnegie schools, for the Robert F. Odom Oil and Gas Company, Key Energy, and at the Farmers and Merchants Bank. Sandy loved her family and had a great heart for animals especially her dachshunds. She loved Christmas, collecting Santas, and had a tradition of always reading the Christmas Story to her family. She enjoyed arts and crafts and all kinds of sports especially those that her children and grandchildren played. Sandy was a member of the Abundant Love Fellowship of Maysville. Survivors: Her husband, Jerry Gamble of Maysville. Her mother: Imogene Moody and husband Don of Yukon, Oklahoma 1 Son: Jerry Mike Gamble and wife Heidi of Maysville 2 Daughters: Sheila Donaho and husband Jason of Maysville, and Stephanie Shannon and husband Kelly of Maysville. 1 Brother: Larry Phillips and wife Sue of Rye, Colorado Brothers-in-law: Danny and Debby Gamble of Maysville, and Bobby and Michelle Gamble of Pauls Valley. Mother-in-law: Jane Reyes and husband Raymond of Maysville. Grandchildren: Dillon Donaho, Dalton Gamble, Cody Donaho, Maggie Shannon, Bryce Shannon and Shelby Gamble. Also by a great number of aunts, uncles and cousins and other members of the family. Sandy is preceded in death by her father Jim Phillips, and father-in-law Olin Gamble and grandson Jerry Kyle Shannon. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00 pm. at the Abundant Love Fellowship with Rev. Danny Gamble officiating with burial in the Maysville Cemetery under the direction of John Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville.
